Incubators sent by Caritas will help in Ukraine

The fifth shipment of humanitarian aid sent by Caritas Czech Republic has arrived in Ukraine. The truck brought food, hygiene supplies, blankets, first aid kits and two incubators to Zaporizhzhia. The war in Ukraine has displaced one in four people from their homes. Millions need help secure their basic needs, such as shelter, food and health care.

We are sending a power generator able supply electricity for an entire hospital

In cooperation with Czech Railways and he Czech Railway Cargo we sent a train with humanitarian aid to Ukraine this past Monday. A total of 84 power generators, backup electricity supply, and bottled water for people who have had to flee their homes. Our partner Caritas Ukraine will distribute the aid to those in need.

Caritas organizations across Europe joined forces to help people affected by war

We started helping on the border with Ukraine immediately after the Russian attack. Since the start of the conflict, Caritas Czech Republic has raised over CZK 101 million (4 million EUR), sent three trucks with humanitarian aid to the most affected areas and is also helping refugees in the Czech Republic. We are able to meet the needs of people in Ukraine, on the run and in the target countries thanks to the joint efforts of the entire Caritas network.

Photographer Stanislav Krupař: I have not seen children playing outside for a long time

Internationally acclaimed photographer Stanislav Krupař has been focusing on reportage photography, especially in Ukraine and Russia, but he worked on the conflicts in Syria, Libya and Iraq as well. At the beginning of this year, he went to Avdijivka in the Donetsk region where he got caught up in the Russian invasion. Stanislav managed to escape via the ‘last train’ to Kyiv. We talked about the current situation in Ukraine.
