We help where we are needed. We provide immediate humanitarian aid to people affected by war or natural disaster. As part of our development cooperation, we help people to cut loose and make a living. We focus on the development of health care and social protection as well as  rural development and environmental protection and actively work on systemic changes in Georgia.

This year, International Women's Day is about investing in women. Particularly in disadvantaged regions, women need support in the beginning to take their lives into their own hands. Laurinda, Rana and Tamar managed to start their own businesses despite obstacles, prejudice and poor economic conditions. Two years of our help to Ukraine: How Caritas Czech Republic supports the affected people

It has been two years since the Russian invasion of Ukraine and escalation of the war.  During this time, the situation remains challenging both on the battlefield and in the living conditions of Ukrainians. Russian missiles and drones continue to target various settlements in Ukraine, while Ukrainians persist in fighting for their land or seeking refuge from the war. Caritas Czech Republic has been assisting affected Ukrainians since the beginning of the conflict, providing support both within Ukraine and abroad.

Best of 2023 in Caritas Czech Republic in Georgia

The Year 2023 was among the most results-oriented for Caritas Czech Republic in Georgia. We closed two large-scale initiatives in the healthcare and social protection sectors with distinguishing results and started a considerable endeavour for early childhood care and inclusive education improvement in the country. Our team contributed to establishing of wastewater management in the mountainous Racha, supported sustainable agricultural development in the highlands of Georgia, and started a new initiative enabling youth to increase their entrepreneurial skills.
