  • Description: Developing the long-term care services for children in need of specialized care is the main objective of the project “Establishment of Children’s long term and palliative care services in Georgia.”Project Target groups are children in need of long term and palliative care assistance, policy makers, NGOs and experts working in this sector.The project develops legal framework for LTC (concept papers, operational standards, review of relevant legislation, licensing conditions) and builds capacity of professional staff to establish new children’s LTC center at Zhvania Children’s hospital of Tbilisi State Medical University (TSMU). The second component of the project included renovation and equipping of a multi-sensory room Snoezelen at the Children’s hospice where at least 25 beneficiaries receive therapies annually.
