Full name of project: Education of family doctors in oncology
- Project duration: October 2015- November 2016
- Description: The aim of the project was to promote cancer prevention and early detection measures through engagement of primary health workers in relevant activities as well as overcome cancer related stigma in the population through educational activities.Within the projects Training course in oncology for Primary Healthcare was developed and delivered in partnership with Cancer Prevention Center and invited Czech trainers. The Project was preceded by a pilot project in 2014 in Zugdidi Municipality. In 2015-2016 around 500 doctors and 250 nurse were trained during 2015-2016 in Tbilisi, Samegrelo-Upper Svaneti and Guria regions.
