"There is nothing better than being in your favorite environment and doing your favorite thing."

How has Caritas Czech Republic changed my life?

Georgian vitreous enamel is a unique phenomenon that organically merges and reflects the historical development of Georgian art. However, the art form was nearly lost when production stopped in the 15th century. It is very gratifying that the craft has been revived in the second half of the 20th century and has since seen great advances.

We want to introduce you to Nana Iaralishvili, a master of vitreous enamel from the city of Oni. With the financial support of Caritas Czech Republic, Nana acquired the equipment and supplies needed to set up a vitreous enamel workshop. She is now ready to share her knowledge and experience with young people who share her love of the craft. In addition to vitreous enamel, Nana also works on felt and cross-stitching.

Since 2010, I have dreamed of having my own space where I would make vitreous enamel jewelry. Caritas Czech Republic changed my life. My dream, which was only in my heart, came true. With the help of Caritas, I have made a vitreous enamel workshop where I will share my knowledge and experience with other young people. There is nothing better than being in your favorite environment and doing your favorite thing. Many thanks to everyone who has made a small contribution to making my dream come true,” Nana Iaralishvili.

We wish a great success to Nana!
