Caritas Czech Republic has handed over 55 oxygen concentrators to the State Medical Holding. The medical device was purchased with the financial support of the Visegrad Fund and the Government of South Korea under the project “Supporting Georgian health care system to provide quality medical services during Covid-19 pandemic”.
55 oxygen concentrators were handed over to Georgia from the partner countries. This will further strengthen the state clinics” said Ekaterine Tikaradze, minister of the health.
"The Visegrad Fund is a donor organization representing 4 countries: Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia. The fund contributes to the social and economic empowerment of Eastern European countries," said H.E. DR. Viktória Horváth, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hunagry to Georgia.
The aim of the project is to support the health care system during the pandemic. In addition, the project aims to improve the knowledge of staff at all levels of Covid-19 hotels. This will help them to provide timely and quality medical care to people in quarantine zones and clinical hotels.
The project also includes technical assistance for primary care workers to help them better deal with the pandemic within their competencies. Cooperation in this direction is underway with the Emergency Situations Coordination and Urgent Assistance Center.
