Czech assistance to Georgia in the fight against the COVID 19 pandemic

On September 29, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Georgia, H.E. Petr Mikyska together with the Head of Mission of Caritas Czech Republic in Georgia, Jan Blinka visited LEPL Agency for State Care and Assistance for the (Statutory) Victims of Human Trafficking with the purpose to hand over personal protective equipment to the Agency for boarding homes for persons with disabilities (including Dusheti and Martkofi).

The action aims at supporting the Agency to ensure prevention of Covid19 infection at the boarding home facilities. The total cost of this donation is 23 000 GEL (medical facemasks, coats, gloves, non-contract thermometers, desinfectants, etc).

The action is a part of the new project “Way to Home: Development of Adult Alternative Social Services in Georgia” funded by Czech Development Agency.

The Director of Agency for State Care Meri Maghlapheridze and the Head of Mission of Caritas Czech Republic in Georgia, Jan Blinka with sign the memorandum of understanding on implementation of the mentioned project.
